With just one day to go until the PGS Berlin: Europe Qualifier finals, we share a few facts about the tournament that you might not know…

The PGS Berlin: Europe Qualifier finals kicks off at 17:00 CET/08:00 PST tomorrow—but you already knew that, right? Before we get stuck into a full weekend of PUBG esports, here are five things that you might not have known about the region’s most important tournament of the year so far!

  • Represent. The PGS Berlin: Europe Qualifier finals will feature players from 22 different nations, including the likes of Russia, France, Netherlands, and even New Zealand!
  • Full house. In total, a whopping 655 teams registered to compete in the PGS Berlin: Europe Qualifiers via open signups. After battling through open and closed online qualification stages, nine squads now join 15 of the region’s best teams to battle it out for a place at the first PUBG Global Series event of the year.
  • Friends or enemies? 15 players have previously competed for at least one of the other teams playing at the PGS Berlin: Europe Qualifier finals. Will a few old scores be settled on the battleground?
  • Familiar surroundings. The PGS Berlin: Europe Qualifier finals returns to the Messe Berlin studio that previously hosted the PUBG Europe League. Things might look a little different, but many top teams and players will feel right at home.
  • View from above. In addition to the main tournament stream at twitch.tv/playbattlegrounds, viewers who want to analyze every drop, split, and rotation in detail can follow our dedicated map stream at twitch.tv/pubgesportsmap. Watch out for those hard shifts!

The Europe Qualifier finals will determine which six teams head to PGS Berlin later this year—where they’ll be joined by regional compatriots FaZe Clan, who have already booked a slot at the main event following their strong performance at last year’s PUBG Global Championship.

Enjoy the show!
