Console – Open Dev Survey

Hello, PUBG Console players!

Do you remember the “Controller Guide – Improvement Survey” from a couple months ago? It helped us to identify where our current controller settings could be improved.

We have put a lot of thought into how we can enhance our controller experience and have developed a new custom binding system that lets players assign controls as they see fit.

However, how this system will be used and what kind of impact it will have on PUBG requires various considerations.

As such, we would like to receive your feedback before the actual update in order to make a system that well-reflects our users’ needs.

CUSTOM BINDING SYSTEM Details (XBOX)

  • A new preset type “Custom” will be added to the controller settings.
    • The default is the same as Type A. You may reset each command.
  • In Custom Bindings, you may bind your desired command to each key.
    • Certain keys may not be reset in order to keep consistency in the controller experience.
  • Based on the feedback received in the previous survey, we have added 26 actions that can be custom bound.
  • You may customize your controller as below with the newly added actions.
    • (Example) You may lean left/right even if you are not ADSing.
    • (Example) You may designate a different key for aim or ADS.
    • (Example) You may assign a different response type for Reload. (Press, instead of Hold)
    • (Example) You may separate Jump and Vault.
  • Key bindings for Auto Accelerate and the Emote Wheel (A/B) have been changed.
    • Auto Accelerate is now X.
    • Emote Wheel (A/B) is now RB + D-pad UP.
  • You may now lean when using throwables.

How to participate in OPEN DEVELOPMENT

Users may sign up for Open Dev by filling out the following survey. Please note that there are a limited number of spots.

We will send out an e-mail with test details and schedule to those that will participate in Open Dev, so please check your e-mails.
